Pilates is an exercise method that incorporates Eastern and Western exercises. Joseph Pilates‘ exercises use resistance to strengthen and then stretch the whole body. Joseph Pilates created his method of resistance training to include exercises on Pilates equipment including the Pilates reformer. Pilates exercises are the right fit for all fitness levels. It is also an excellent way to provide rehabilitation to injuries. Pilates is being used in many different sports training including professional soccer, football and more. It is also a mind-body form of exercise as it incorporates breath, concentration and movement.
